FIN-FYFA – Financial Foundations for Young Female Athletes

Financial Foundations for Young Female Athletes, was successfully held on 14 April and was organized by ŽFK Borec and partner organizations.
During this training, participants further expanded their knowledge of financial literacy by focusing on practical application of previously learned concepts. The session emphasized real-life financial situations, helping athletes strengthen their ability to make responsible and informed financial decisions.
Through interactive discussions and practical exercises, participants worked on improving their personal “Financial Game Plan,” with a special focus on budgeting, tracking expenses, and understanding the long-term impact of financial choices. The importance of financial discipline and consistency was highlighted as a key factor in achieving both personal stability and future goals.
The session also encouraged participants to reflect on financial challenges they may face as young athletes and to explore effective strategies for overcoming them. By sharing experiences and working together, they continued to build confidence in managing their personal finances.
This third training represents the final part of the FIN-FYFA workshop cycle organized by ŽFK Borec, completing a structured program aimed at strengthening financial literacy and empowering young female athletes to build secure and sustainable futures.
